For over a century GEBCO has been mapping the world’s seafloor from the coast to the deepest trench.

Access an article in Hydro International magazine that outlines GEBCO's development from its early bathymetric chart production through to the development of bathymetric grids.

In June this year GEBCO will co-host with the Nippon Foundation of Japan an international conference: the Forum for Future of Ocean Floor mapping. The Forum will bring together ocean experts with the goal of sharing knowledge and expertise and building collaborations to accelerate our ability to accurately portray the shape of the world’s ocean floor.
