Postgraduate Certificate in Ocean Bathymetry at the University of New Hampshire, USA (2022-2023)

Nippon Foundation/GEBCO Training Program

The Nippon Foundation of Japan has provided funding for GEBCO to train a new generation of scientists and hydrographers in ocean bathymetry. The 12-month course, leading to a Postgraduate Certificate in Ocean Bathymetry (PCOB), has been held at the University of New Hampshire, USA, since 2004.

Applications are now being sought for the 19th year of the Training Program, to begin late August 2022.

The closing date for applications is 30th April 2022.

Since it began, the course has attracted applicants from more than 44 different countries — creating and strengthening GEBCO's links and gathering local expertise from all regions of the world. The course graduates continue to make a valuable contribution to GEBCO's work.
