Crowdsourced Bathymetry Workshop
Crowdsourced bathymetry (CSB) is the collection of bathymetry data from vessels, using standard navigation instruments, while engaged in routine maritime operations. CSB data can be used to supplement the more rigorous and scientific bathymetric coverage done by hydrographic offices, industry, and researchers around the world.
Join experts from the International Hydrographic Organization’s Crowdsourced Bathymetry Working Group, along with experts/developers from the companies, nonprofits, government agencies, and academia working with CSB, for an in-depth look at CSB tools and best practices. Gain insight on how to set up a CSB effort, manage data, and create valuable products.
The workshop will be held 24-25 March 2025 in Wellington, New Zealand. Access the workshop flyer and find out more (2 MB). Register for this event at the IHO's meeting registration site.
