GEBCO welcomes the newly-appointed IOC representatives to the Joint IHO-IOC GEBCO Guiding Committee

The GEBCO community is pleased to announce that Dr Bruce Goleby (Geoscience Australia) and Mr Chrétien Ngouanet (University of Dschang, Cameroon) are the newly-appointed Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO representatives to the Joint IHO-IOC GEBCO Guiding Committee.

Dr Goleby is the Chief Geophysicist and Group Leader in Innovation and Specialist Services at Geoscience Australia's Energy Division. He has been involved in GEBCO’s work for a number of years and is currently an interim Co-Chair of the GEBCO Technical Sub-Committee on Ocean Mapping (TSCOM) and a member of the IHO-IOC GEBCO Cook Book Working Group.

Mr Ngouanet is a lecturer in Cartography, Topography and GIS at the University of Dschang, Cameroon and is involved in marine atlas work for the IOC/UNESCO ODINAFRICA Project. We look forward to working with him.
